CYCA Curler's Corner Sunday League Spares 2023-2024

Your name and information will be added to the official CYCA Spare List and made available to teams that are registered for the 2023-2024 CYCA Sunday League. Teams registered in the Sunday League may only use spares that are registered on the official CYCA Spare List. By registering, you consent to having your contact information published on the password protected CYCA Spare List and shared with registered Sunday League coaches.

By registering, you consent to receive emails from the CYCA for the purposes of Sunday League communication. You may unsubscribe at any time.

Each individual must complete this registration form. If you would just like to spare occasionally for various CYCA teams, please complete the form below. If you are looking for a team, the Sunday League Coordinator can potentially help you find one. Eligible Participants

Our target group is youth curlers between the ages of 11 and 20 who have participated in a Calgary and area curling club’s junior program for one or more years. With the age of Juniors set nationally at 20 and under as of January 1st of the current calendar year, registrations are accepted within this entire age category. Participants for this league tend to range from elementary to junior high school age. The CYCA Sunday League offers a structured schedule of games between teams with varied experience. Teams in the league can be made up of a combination of either gender or all of one gender. Please provide the contact information for a parent/guardian in the registration form below (including an email that can be checked for regular CYCA Sunday League newsletters).

Divisions and Schedule

This season, pending registration numbers, there will be two divisions grouped according to skill level, with the opportunity for teams to move up or down after each round. There will be two draws on each Sunday (10:00 AM - 12:00 noon and 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM), of which spares may play one, both or neither (depending on if a team contacts them or not).
