Annual Development Camp for Junior Curlers aged 9-19 - Registration opens AUG 1st
Get ready to launch your curling season at our annual Junior Curling Camp, happening September 6 & 7, 2025, at the Calgary Curling Club! This registration is for ** SATURDAY, September 6**. Open to junior curlers aged 9–19 who have previous curling experience, this fun and focused weekend is all about improving your game, building confidence, and connecting with other young athletes who love the sport.
Each full day runs from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and includes a mix of on-ice skill development and off-ice training activities. Campers will work with a talented team of experienced coaches, including the CYCA President Tyler Powell, who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and inspiring the next generation of curlers.
You can register for one day or enjoy the full weekend. Along with top-notch instruction, participants will enjoy a delicious lunch, exciting prize draws, and a welcoming, social atmosphere that makes this camp a highlight of the junior curling calendar. Spots fill quickly, so don’t miss your chance to learn, play, and have a great time on and off the ice!

To help everyone get the most out of the weekend, please review the following information before attending the camp:
🧳 What to Bring
• Clean indoor curling shoes (or clean sneakers if you don’t have curling shoes)
• Broom and slider (If you do not have these, we will have some available)
• Water bottle
• Comfortable athletic clothing for both on-ice and off-ice activities We will be going outside as well, so please dress appropriately for the weather
• Notebook and pen (Optional, for taking notes during sessions)
⏰ Arrival & Schedule
• Camp runs from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM each day (Saturday & Sunday)
• Please arrive by 8:15 AM for check-in and group assignments
• Lunch is provided Please ensure all allergies are noted on your registration form. Curlers are welcome to bring their own lunch if they prefer
• There will be an early dismissal at 3:00 PM before the icebreakers

• All participants are expected to show respect to coaches, fellow curlers, and staff
• Bullying or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated
• Safety is our top priority, listen carefully and follow all instructions
• Curlers under age 13 must wear head protection (helmet, bumper, or halo) while on the ice
