Being held on February 28th, 2026 from 5:30pm - 9:00pm at the Airdrie Curling Club

The annual Friends and Family Funspiel is a fantastic way for junior curlers to bring their family members into the world of curling, creating memories and bonding over this exciting and unique sport. This event is all about fun and togetherness, offering a perfect opportunity for families to spend quality time together, whether they’re curling for the first time or already familiar with the sport. It’s designed for laughs, friendly competition, and celebrating the joy of spending time with those who matter most.

Each team is made up of four members, with up to two adults (18+) joining in the fun. The twist is that the skip—the strategic mastermind of the team—is always a youth curler under 18, giving junior curlers the chance to take charge and guide their family through the games. At just $70 per team, you’ll get all the equipment you need, yummy snacks, and even some door prizes. It’s a wonderful way for families and friends to come together, try something new, and create lasting memories while enjoying the spirit of curling.
