This is FULL SEASON registration! For only 1 round go under products. This fun semi-competitive league is for junior curlers with 1+ years experience. Join as a single curler and we will add you to a team or join with your current teammates. Either way you will have an awesome time curling!
Thank you for registering for the FULL SEASON of the 2025–2026 Curlers Corner CYCA Sunday League!
The Curlers Corner CYCA Sunday League welcomes youth curlers between the ages of 9 and 20 who have participated in a junior program at a Calgary-area curling club for one or more years. Curlers can register either as individuals (we’ll help you find a team) or as part of an already-formed team.
For the 2025–2026 season, the national age limit for Junior curlers is 20 and under as of June 30, 2025. (Note: this date will change to December 31 for the 2026–2027 season.) Registrations are accepted for all curlers within this age range. Most league participants range from elementary to junior high school age.
The CYCA Sunday League provides a structured schedule of games between teams with varying levels of experience. Teams can include curlers of any age and be any mix of genders. Each team must have a designated coach, but prior curling experience is not required. If you're having difficulty finding a coach, please contact the CYCA Sunday League Coordinator at sundayleague@cyca.ca. Be sure to include parent/guardian contact information in the registration form, including an email that can be checked regularly for league newsletters and updates.
Season Overview The full season includes 15 games, running from October 4, 2025, to March 15, 2026, and is divided into three rounds. In each round, teams are grouped into divisions based on skill level. Divisions are adjusted at the end of each round based on point totals, which means some teams may move up or down.
As a traveling league, games are held at a variety of Calgary and area curling clubs to give teams experience with different ice conditions. Games are 2 hours long, with most played at either 10:00 am or 1:00 pm. Occasionally, two afternoon draws may be scheduled at 1:00 pm and 3:30 pm. We strive to schedule teams for one game per week, but due to Curling Alberta’s bonspiel schedule, some teams may play twice in one Sunday.
Scheduling and Communication A weekly newsletter will include game reminders, locations, matchups, and directions. Schedules for each round are released via newsletter at least three days in advance.
As many teams also participate in bonspiels, a pre-season survey will be sent out to gather bonspiel dates so we can avoid scheduling conflicts as much as possible.
Fees and Commitments
Three Rounds (1, 2, and 3): $200/person + $200/person volunteer bond (20 volunteer points)
The volunteer bond is submitted as a post-dated cheque (March 31, 2026) and must be handed in before your first game.
Each curler must complete the registration form. If you already have a team, please indicate that in the appropriate field. If you’re looking for a team, no problem — just check the box in your registration form, and the Sunday League Coordinator will match you with one. You may also form a five-person team; in that case, the fifth player is expected to pay the full registration fee.
Questions? If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback, please contact: Krista Steinke, CYCA Sunday League Coordinator📧 sundayleague@cyca.ca
